When we were cowboys…

Over the years, we British Cowboys amassed a small pile of necessities and accessories as we added them to Christmas and birthday wish lists. As a true backyard cowboy, I owned a saloon and had my own gun and holster, equal in standing to my brothers’ prized possessions.

We learned our cowboy vernacular, tough as nails stances and fashion ideas from the black and white screen.

Back when we were cowboys, arriving by ship from Liverpool into the New World, we stepped off that ship inhaled the fresh city air of the vast North American East and knew we had got off at the wrong stop. So we grew up to be motorcycle-riding urban kids wearing cowboy boots and dabbling in car restoration, leather making and visiting the great Canadian Northern Bush and Western locales whenever the chance arose.

We are still cowboys… making cowboy boots, but still looking for our horses and the ranch.
