This mix of areas provides enhanced wildlife habitat as both Moose and Ruffed Grouse thrive in recently harvested areas. The area is also known to be home to healthy populations of Black Bear, Red Fox, Lynx, Wolves, Otters, Minks, Fishers, Bald Eagles, Horned Owls, Loons and many other species. Whitetail Deer are said to be moving into the area but we have not seen any just yet. Fishing on the lakes, rivers and streams is spectacular. Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Whitefish, Brook Trout, Small Mouth Bass and many other species are available to the properly equipped angler.
